Contract must state
Basic salary in USD or MVR, allowance breakdown, working hours, weekly rest, overtime rate, contract duration, repatriation ticket clause, and accommodation/meals.
Pay disputes
Document payslips. Raise with HR first. Escalate to Ministry of Human Resources and Employment if unpaid for 30+ days.
Leave and sick
Annual leave per contract — often after probation. Sick leave with clinic certificate.
